Corporate employee massage benefits

RESEARCHERS AGREE THAT MASSAGE REDUCES ANXIETY AND PUTS PEOPLE IN A BETTER MOOD

The benefits of chair massage are numerous. In a study conducted at the University of Miami School of Medicine, employees who merely relaxed for 15 minutes were compared to employees who were given a 15-minute chair massage. It was found that employees who received a massage "were not only less stressed and in a better mood, but were also more alert and quick-thinking."

A study published in The Journal of Applied Behavioral Science, found that a single 15-minute massage per week "can have a positive effect on reducing employee anxiety levels." The same researchers also noted that "numerous studies have found that reduced anxiety levels in employees can lead to better morale, improved productivity, better decision making, and better performance." With findings like these, it's not surprising that chair massage is rapidly entering the mainstream of corporate life.
